CBSE has released latest notification regarding JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2014 Exam on 2 November 2014. The notification has brought considerable changes in various aspects related to the exam, such as eligibility criteria, application form and exam dates of JEE MAIN 2014.

In addition to the informational notification, candidates are hereby noticed that all the details regarding the JEE Main 2014 Paper would be released on the official site of the exam: www.jeemain.nic.in by the second week of November 2013.

Candidates can download the admission brochure from the site and read the same with utmost carefulness to get updates about all the information related to the exam. Since there are changes regarding eligibility criteria, it is instructed that they read it thoroughly before applying.

Changes in JEE MAIN 2014

In 2013, Gujarat joined the Joint Entrance Examination system. Following the same steps, this year Maharashtra and Odisha would be following JEE Main 2014. It implies that all the candidates belonging to these states would have to write the JEE Main 2014 in order to take admission into their respective engineering colleges.

Candidates can fill the JEE Main 2014 Application Form only ONLINE. They have to fill the form, apply photos, signatures and thumb impression.

Unlike previous years, no documents or confirmation page is required to be sent to the admissions office.

JEE Main 2014 Test Updated Information

Following amendments have been brought in the latest information brochure released by the CBSE, exam conducting board. These changes have been described as per categories and exam process.

Application Form

Form of JEE Main 2014 would be available to fill from 15 November 2013. Candidates can fill the form on the official website of exam before 26 December 2013.

If any difficulty is faced regarding submission of Admission Form of JEE Main 2014, candidates can refer to the facilitation center whose list has been mentioned in the information bulletin.

Exam Pattern and Schedule

JEE Main 2014 Test would be composed of two papers, 1 and 2. Description of the same is given as follows:

9 April 2014
11 April 2014

19 April 2014

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have born on or after 1 October 1989 (1 October 1984 for SC/ST candidates).

Candidates can attempt the examination at most 3 times.

Only those are eligible whose passing year is either 2012 or 2013.

Those candidates whose result are due in 2014 are eligible as well.

JEE Main 2014 Eligibility Conditions differ from JEE Advanced 2014 Eligibility Criteria and must not be confused or referred as equivalent.
