JEE Main 2014 Counseling
JEE Main 2014 Exam would be held on 6 April 2014. Result of the exam would be declared on 3 May 2014. Application form will be accepted from 15 November 2013.
JEE Main 2014 Counselling schedule will be released by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). The process of counselling will start after release of the rank list in which candidates would be shortlisted as per their scores. To take part in the counselling, candidates would be required to register themselves on the official website of the exam board. Thereafter, they can fill choices according to priority. Admissions in all the central government funded engineering institutions including NIT will be made with JEE Main score as basis.

- Rank List Release: 1st week of July 2014
- Online Registration last date: 1st week of July 2014
- Filling and Locking of Choices: 1st week of July 2014
- Result of 1st Round: 2nd week of July 2014
- 1st round Reporting at Reporting Centers: Mid week of July 2014
- 2nd Round JEE Main 2014 Counselling & Seat Upgrade: Mid week of July 2014
- 2nd Round Reporting at designated Centers: Mid week of July 2014
- Admission Withdrawing at RC: Mid week of July 2014
- Declaration of Vacant Seats and upgrade in JEE Main 2014 Counselling: Mid week of July 2014
- Online Registration, Filling of Choices and Online Fee Submission for Spot and Extra Spot Round: Last week of July 2014
- RC reporting, Verification of Documents and Locking of Choices for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round: Last week of July 2014
- Seat Allocation in JEE Main 2014 Counselling for Spot and Extra Spot Round: Last week of July 2014
JEE Main 2014 Counselling Process:
- Confirm the eligibility by reading the criteria before registering themselves.
- Register online on the official website of CSAB.
- Fill all the fields with correct and complete details.
- Verify all the personal credentials filled for accuracy and correctness.
- Submit the contact details that are operational and current since it’d be used for future communications.
- Bank details must be filled as well in case a need of fee refund arises.
- CSAB will not bear any responsibility for any misplaced documents in transit.
- Preserve the password and account information till the admission process is over.
JEE Main 2014 Counselling – Documents Required:
Candidate is required to bring the following certificates/documents in originals as well as two sets of attested photocopies for verification rounds:
- Class X Certificate (date of birth proof)
- Class XII Mark Sheet and Certificates
- Transfer and Migration Certificate
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Character certificate will also be required at the time of JEE Main 2014 Counselling.
- Draft of requisite fee amount will also be required as per the directions
JEE Main 2014 Counselling – Step Wise Process:
Step 1. Online Registration
- Candidates can register themselves from any place of their convenience as well as from the Help/Reporting Centers.
- CSAB will release the list of various Reporting or Help Centers.
Step 2. Choice Filling and Locking
- Candidates can fill choices of colleges or courses from any place via internet, home or help centers.
- Choices must be locked before deadline else system will save last saved options by default.
- Choices must be filled in sufficient numbers and arranged in order of preference.
Step 3. 1st Round of Seat Allocation in JEE Main 2014
- Allotment Status will be released on CSAB Website.
- Candidates can print the seat acceptance letter of acknowledgement from the CSAB official website.
Step 4. Candidates would reporting at the college they are offered seat in the first round of allotment. Failing to report within stipulated time will lead to forfeiting of allotted seat.
Step 5. 2nd Round of Seat Allotment and upgrade of 1st round admissions.
Step 6. Physical reporting at any of the RC after 2nd Round of JEE Main Counselling 2014.
Step 7. Last withdrawal from offered seat must be made before deadline. Report at the RC where they were given provisional admission.
Step 8. Upgrade of seats for the candidates who were provisionally admitted in earlier rounds.
Step 9. Vacancy status will be displayed on official website of CSAB for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round of JEE Main Counselling 2014.
Step 10. Candidates have to Register Online as well as Choice Filling for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.
